Non-residents of Quebec receiving service in Quebec
This is out of syllabus, but I was intrigued by this.
Let's say my visit to the hospital costs a couple thousand dollars... how am I expected to pay for this while waiting for my province plan to reimburse me ?
Is there a special treatment from banks across Canada to deal with this ?

I cannot comment on this directly but will just link to a site which says that most likely you'd pay for it out of pocket and get reimbursed later: https://settlement.org/ontario/health/ohip-and-health-insurance/ontario-health-insurance-plan-ohip/does-ohip-cover-me-when-i-am-outside-ontario/
Hi, I could maybe answer. I don't believe there is a special treatment from banks across Canada to deal with this. This situation is not only for non-residents of Qc but also Quebecer receiving treatments outside Qc. When I move to Toronto, I had to go see a doctor before I had my Ontarian health card and I had to pay to get the treatment and I had to send a form to get reimbursed. Qc likes to be special.
