for part b, shouldnt we also include investment income earned in CY 2011? i.e. average (0,218000)*yield ?

Is this the Capital available ? From Spring2017 #19, we know that Capital and Surplus is AT LEAST : AOCI + Retained Earnings + Common Shares

Answered my own question, made a mistake and was looking at the wrong year.
